* L. A. Bauer, Frank Langellotti, Harry Roeser, and H. R. Tolley were elected to the
MAA after April 1, 1916, and therefore are not Charter Members of the national
organization. Since they were members prior to the establishment of the Section,
and attended its first meeting, they may be considered Charter Members of the
Maryland-District of Columbia-Virginia Section. All other individuals listed above
are Charter Members both of the MAA and the Section.
Of the 62 Charter Members, 26 were from Maryland, 19 from the District of
Columbia, and 17 from Virginia.
