A journal reference should comprise name(s) of author(s), title of article, abbreviated name of journal (following the style of `Abbreviations of Names of Serials in Mathematical Reviews' (http://www.ams.org/msnhtml/serials.pdf), volume number, year of publication (within parentheses), and full page numbers, e.g.

A book reference should comprise name(s) of author(s), title of book, publisher, town, year of publication, e.g.

An edited volume reference should comprise name(s) of author(s), title of paper, name(s) of editor(s), title of book, publisher, town, year, inclusive page numbers, e.g.
