The first meeting was held in November 1921. Since then there were seven years, including four years during World War II, when no meeting was held and two meetings were held some years. Because of this, there is some ambiguity as to how to number the meetings. In Dean’s book, A 75-Year History of the Texas Section of the Mathematical Association of America 1920-1995, the numbering system includes a number for each year with the designation “No meeting reported.” The numbers here are the meeting number as reported on the meeting programs which appear to be an accurate count of meetings held.
