Anchorage Selected for 2004 Section
Meeting
Start planning now for a
trip to Alaska! The University of Alaska at Anchorage has been selected to
host the annual PNW Section Meeting in the summer of 2004. Watch for the
exact date and many additional details in future newsletters.
This meeting will
provide an excellent opportunity to visit Alaska and explore its natural
beauty with inexpensive lodging during the height of the tourist season.
We expect that many of those attending the meeting will extend their visit
to Alaska for trips to many of the wonderful summer locales around the
state, and UAA plans to assist members with tour arrangements.
We would like to thank
all of our members who took the time earlier this year to respond to the
survey about holding a section meeting in Alaska. Your input was very
valuable in our final decision. We would also like to extend our thanks to
the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Alaska
Anchorage for their work in putting together a proposal for this meeting.
We look forward to an outstanding meeting!
