During the reception, winners from each year will have a group picture taken with the Governor. Each student with his/her parents and teacher will then have the opportunity of individual pictures taken with the Governor. The reception will be on Thursday, September 22, from 5:10 to 5:25 p.m. in the Governor's Capitol office in Lansing.

For the photo reception meeting, in addition to cameras, please bring with you the following items:

• Two forms of identification, one being a government issued photo ID;
• Cash for the photography service if you choose to do so.

I invited Gary Shrewsbury, a talented photographer with Capitol Building clearances, to set up a photo service outside the Governor's office. If you choose so, Gary can take pictures and send Governor-signed pictures to your. You are also welcome to bring your own personal camera; members of the Governor's staff will be available and are happy to take photographs for you.

I will wait for you at the entrance of the Capitol Building until 5:05 p.m. with your confirmation letter from the Governor's office. Please be prompt. A copy of the body of the confirmation letter, which I will give to you at the entrance of the Capitol, has been sent to you through email. Please read it careful because it contains important instructions you will need. The main points are:

• Please have two forms of identification available;
• Our appointment is on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 5:10 p.m.
• Appointments are limited to a maximum of fifteen minutes (this means our whole group).
• Please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled meeting time.

The direction and parking instructions to the Capitol Building are linked at the right pane of this page. I was told that there are plenty of parking space available around the Capitol after 5:00 p.m.

Please dress up formal or business casual. You will have pictures under the flags.
