This waterfront park is named in dedication to the City of Clemson's Mayor. It is a linear park of just over one half mile long and connecting the current Jaycee Park on College Avenue with the area behind the restaurants bordering Hwy 123. This passive park encourages the use of the lake while extending the streetscape features on College Avenue. It is the natural area aspects of the park that are emphasized for public enjoyment. The Pavilion at Abernathy Park features an open air design with two restrooms, picnic tables and fireplace.

The mission of CAAAM is to collect and showcase the historical achievements and culture of African Americans by serving as a resource center for the Greater Clemson Area to engage the local and upstate communities in intellectual discourse about the past.


Clemson Memorial Stadium

Better known as Death Valley, Clemson Memorial Stadium is one of the 10 largest on-campus stadiums in the United States.


Fort Hill Plantation House

Fort Hill was the home of John C. Calhoun, South Carolina’s pre-eminent 19th century statesman, from 1825 until his death in 1850. The antebellum plantation home, office and kitchen are furnished mostly with family artifacts.


South Carolina Botanical Garden and Bob Campbell Geology Museum

The South Carolina Botanical Garden is a 295-acre public garden just off campus that features several thousand varieties of ornamental plants and a unique collection of nature-based sculptures. On its grounds you’ll find the Bob Campbell Geology Museum, which displays a large collection of gems, minerals and other specimens donated by collectors.
