Section NExT
In 2002 the Northeastern Section began its program of Section NExT activities for new and relatively new colleagues. NExT stands for New Experiences in Teaching. By providing talks and workshops on issues of interest, opportunities to meet and share ideas with other new colleagues, and an introduction into Section activities, we hope to assist new faculty in their transition from graduate school to professional academic life. We welcome all untenured full time faculty, both those who have and have not been National NExT fellows.

The Section NExT activities generally consist of a short program during the early afternoon of the Fridays of regular Northeastern Section meetings. The programs usually consist of a lunch and a presentation. The Section NExT activities are free.

Upcoming Section NExT Meeting

The Northeastern Section will be holding a Section NExT program for new and relatively new colleagues on Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at Norwich University, just before the main MAA Northeastern Region spring meeting begins. If you are interested in the Section NExT activities, please contact Klay Kruczek of Southern Connecticut State University at kruczekk3 [at] southernct [dot] edu. To register for the program at the Spring 2017 section meeting, you should contact Klay, and you should also register for the Section meeting once registration becomes available later this year. Registration forms will be available in the Section Newsletter and on the meeting website. If you do not receive a Newsletter, please indicate that to Klay.
