The Michigan Theta chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon was installed on our campus on November 19.
Our application for a Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon has been approved, and plans are underway for its installation.
Section Chair Matt Wyneken (UMFlint) reports that the Michigan Section of the MAA has been awarded a $1000 grant by the Exxon Education Foundation. The grant was awarded for the purpose of assisting student chapters in hosting career fairs. To request funds and to find out how you can organize your own career fair, please contact Matt with an outline of your chapter's plans for a career fair, including an approximate budget.
Special consideration will be given to less active chapters for which a career fair will serve as an event to inject new life into the chapter. As the grant expires at the end of the year, any fair being funded must take place before December 31.
