Grand Valley State University
The GVSU Mathematics and Statistics Club has many activities planned for this year. The featured speakers include members of the GVSU faculty, an actuarial scientist, and a local high school teacher. Additionally, two GVSU students will be giving talks. Chris Frayer will be speaking about his experiences at an REU this past summer, and Eric Nantz will be giving a statistical consulting presentation. The club is also planning to host a Riddle-a-thon, to participate in Super Science Saturday at the IMAX theater in Grand Rapids, and to sponsor a field trip to either the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, or the University of Notre Dame.
