Dr. Vic Schneider


Vic Schneider earned a degree in Mathematics from USL (now UL) in 1966. In 1970, he earned a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, writing a dissertation in Topology, directed by Professor Larry Mann. After graduation, he returned to his Alma Mater, where he has spent these last 40 years teaching and studying Mathematics. He has authored, or co-authored, 27 research papers and sponsored, or co-sponsored seven PhD students. He has also served a department head and graduate coordinator. For the last 15 years he has been heavily involved with in-service workshops for mathematics teachers.
