Lodging and Directions for Spring 2009 Meeting
IUPUI, Indianapolis, IN
Hotel Information available as Word.docx document or PDF.
Of course, there are several hotels in the downtown area that people can use – and we believe there is no other major event (like NCAA tournament, etc.) that Fri/Sat so finding hotels will be easy and not at a premium price. (IUPUI is about 6 blocks from the center of Indianapolis for those looking at other hotels.)
More information from the local organizers:
The registration tables, book sale, dinner, and most activities (except the student competition) will be in the new Campus Center (CE on maps). This building is only 1 year old (lots of glass).
Once inside the IUPUI Campus Center, all conference attendees should go to the fourth floor balcony, where the registration tables will be set up. (Elevators and escalators take you to the balcony – can’t miss it.)
There is a visitors parking garage (XB on map, Vermont Street Garage), the Campus Center is attached to this Parking Garage with an entrance on the second level.
If you have an IU or Purdue system parking permit, you can park in the surface lots for free. Otherwise, visitors will use the XB garage and pay the visitors rate. Rates start at $2 for the first hour and go up to a full day (12 to 24 hours) is $9 max. Conference fees do not cover parking fees.
