Spring 2013 News from the Campuses of . . .

EARLHAM COLLEGE - Richmond, Indiana

There are a number of personnel-related activities at Earlham these days. Anand Pardhanani is on sabbatical this year, working in Thailand and India. Carolyn Johns, a 2006 Earlham grad who double-majored in mathematics and theater, is doing a good job of filling in for Anand before moving on to the next step in her mathematical career.

Mic Jackson will retire from full-time teaching after this semester. We are currently searching for his replacement, and are encouraged by the high quality of the candidate pool.

Earlham is in the late stages of planning for a new building which will house the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, as well as our Science Library. Construction will begin in about a year. Hopefully, we will be ready to host a meeting in 3 or 4 years.     TOP
