Spring 2007 - Newsletter Editor Statement

I would like to encourage you to attend the Spring Meeting, it promises to a great meeting with quite a variety of talks many by graduate students, and of course our invited speakers Art Benjamin and Daniel Forger. Additionally, if you wish to see Mathemagician Art Benjamin perform, he will be performing at Saint Joseph's College Shen Auditorium March 12th, 7:00 pm CDT, see the Section News for more details.

The Newsletter column this Spring is some reflections on the Joint Math Meetings by undergraduates, Yvette Monachino, Robert Lemke Oliver, and Ian Rogers, who attended the Joint Meeting for the first time (read the column ).

The Newsletter continues to evolve in its new webformat. This year we have added pictures from the Spring 2006 Meeting at Taylor University, and will continue to add pictures from future meetings. If you bring a digital camera, to the meeting and take pictures, please send copies of your pictures to the Newsletter Editor for inclusion in the Newsletter. I am still looking for pictures from the Fall Workshop, so if you have any please send them to the Newsletter Editor.

More solitications for columns, updates on programs, et cetera, like some of the information that occurs in MAA Focus and MAA Online, but concerning the Indiana Section of the MAA in particular, and Indiana Colleges and Universities will be forthcoming.
