"Making Beautiful Music in the Mathematics Classroom" Part III     by Matt DeLong

I conclude with quote from a 1996 American Mathematical Monthly article titled “Classical Mathematics,” in which Jim Henle argues for the similarity of math and music as arts. In it he provides some pedagogical implications of this point of view. He gives us all something to strive for. And if we as mathematics instructors can indeed get our students to sing and dance mathematics, then we will all be singing with Handel “Hallelujah, Hallelujah….”
