"Making Beautiful Music in the Mathematics Classroom" Part III     by Matt DeLong

This time I explicitly asked the students for feedback on this objective. Again, I was encouraged that 91% of the students believed that they had a better appreciation for the beauty of mathematics as a result of the course. Perhaps it can be taught after all!

What then, if any, are the pedagogical implications of teaching mathematics with beauty as a central and guiding concept? For inspiration I turned once again to music.
