"Making Beautiful Music in the Mathematics Classroom" Part II     by Matt DeLong

Andre Thomas's African Noel is a brief and simple Christmas piece. The two lines "Sing noel" and "Sing we all noel" constitute 90% of the lyrics of the song. The rhythms and melodies are simple and repetitive. And the whole song lasts a mere 1:29. In spite of its simplicity and brevity, it is an energetic, joyful, and beautiful celebration of the birth of Christ child.

This version of African Noel by Andre Thomas is sung by The Taylor University Chorale on their CD Sing Noel used with permission from Taylor University.
