"Making Beautiful Music in the Mathematics Classroom" Part I     by Matt DeLong

In “Management, Motivation and Student-Centered Instruction I: Analytical Framework,” we propose a theoretical framework for understanding classroom management in an a learner-centered college mathematics classroom. The four components of the framework—motivation, activity, learning outcomes, and attribution—work together in a virtuous and reinforcing cycle that can significantly enhance opportunities for deep mathematical learning.
