"Making Beautiful Music in the Mathematics Classroom" Part I     by Matt DeLong

So math animates us, and we want to share our passion for it with our students. Perhaps in our teaching we need to attend to what we see that makes math beautiful to us, and use that to animate our passion and to share that passion with our students.

However, there is still the matter of technique. In fact, bringing together Palmer’s two quotes in the two contexts in which I am interested we find one similarity that could possibly explain the math-music connection….
