The College of Arts and Sciences is sponsoring a conference on "Knotting Mathematics and Art: Conference in Low Dimensional Topology and Mathematical Art" during November 1 - 4. The keynote address will be delivered by John Horton Conway of Princeton University, titled, "From Topology to Symmetry", on November 1, at 7:30 pm, at USF-Tampa Campus, in BSF 100. Conway's talk will be part of the R. Kent Nagle Lecture Series, which brings leading mathematical speakers to USF.

The conference is free and open to the public, and is accompanied by several art exhibits on the "Rhythm of Structure: Beyond the Mathematics", at the Centre Gallery and the Oliver Gallery at the University of South Florida, and the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
