Norma Agras retired from MDC in June, after 21 years teaching, followed by 11 years dept. chair at Wolfson Campus. The District President, Dr. Padron, awarded her the distinction of Professor Emeritus for her contributions and leadership in the mathematics discipline. She is now enjoying teaching at U of Miami, and continues to be active in the MAA. She have been invited to be a discussion leader in the MAA Prep workshop in Washington, DC, Leading the Academic Department. She also was invited to the Community College of Philadelphia to give a talk on redesigning courses below calculus.
